The morning was a wonderful time for walking.
This trail has so much to offer -- from wonderful views to amazing fynbos.
On my way to Schoenies I come across this herd of cattle crossing the road
The fynbos in full colour even in winter.
Children working out the Maze on Retha's trail
Aaron; Siobhan and Tristan
Boys having fun on the Canon.
Peter with the second group of the day. Both were special walks and wonderful people. I seem to make new friends at every hike.
Today was a perfect day for trail walking. At the Schoenies Canon there were a huge number of cars indicating the large number of people walking. Mainly the Sacramento trail.
The walk that we did included the Heritage and the Fynbos trails.
Both groups commented on their experience and will be doing more trails with me in the near future.
Other trails which are on offer:
- The van Stadens Flower reserve: The River and the Forest trails
- The Lady Slipper either from the Rocklands side or the more popular Falcon Rock trail.
- The Maitlands forest walk. A lovely trail through indigenous forests and some amazing views
- The Cape Recife trail with rounds the Lighthouse.
- The Port Elizabeth Historic trail
- The Settlers park to Dodds Farm
- The Grysbok trail at the back of the University
- The Sacramento Trail
- Various beach walks such as the Kini Bay, the Maitlands and the Harbour wall walks.
